My Rechargeable Batteries No Longer Work. Which Batteries Are Recommended For My Weather Station?

The weather station uses alkaline batteries because of their wide temperature range.  However, any AA battery will work in the unit, including non-rechargeable batteries.

However, we now recommend non-rechargeable Energizer Lithium Ultimate batteries over rechargeable batteries:

They operate between -40 °F and 140 °F (-40 to 60 °C).  They will not damage the weather station or the batteries because of the low charging current.

Using Ni-Mh or Ni-Cad rechargeable batteries are fine but expect a very limited temperature operating range.

Our newest sensor array (WS-5000-ARRAY) :

uses a super capacitor as the energy storage device, and back up non-rechageable Lithium batteries. It is a better design because of the limited life of rechargeable batteries.
