Firmware Update Procedure:
Important Notes:
- Before you upgrade the firmware, check the About Page on your display console, and make certain you are running Firmware Version 2.0.0 or greater Failure to do so may cause your console to stop working.
- You will lose all of your stored data in memory, Calibration Settings, WiFi Settings and Server Settings (Wunderground.com) if you upgrade. Please back up your data prior to upgrading the firmware (Section 6.6 #6 of the WS-1001-WiFI User Manual). You can not restore this data at the present time.
- To determine your firmware version, select Factory | About | Display from the console.
Instructions:
- Download the latest zip file (below) to your your computer. Make a note of where you saved this file.
- Extract the zip file.
- Copy the extracted folder “Update EasyWeather” to your MicroSD Card (the SD card must be empty).
- Power down your display console by removing AC power.
- Insert the SD Card into the display console.
- Power up the display console.
- The console will verify the firmware was updated.

Changes: Now supports www.AmbientWeather.net, a free hosting service provided by Ambient Weather. Note – you can publish to both AmbientWeather.net and Wunderground.com at the same time. Select the Weather Server panel, set a schedule, make a note of your MAC address, and then visit www.AmbientWeather.net to sign up. AmbientWeather.net allows you to view indoor conditions remotely, supports email and text alerts and is designed to work like an app (responsive and mobile friendly) on any platform (phone, tablet, desktop or laptop).

Changes: Some users were reporting that the console would connect to WiFi but would not report to Wunderground.com. The problem was likely due to the console constantly pinging the network to see if software is being run. This is now performed much slower and less often, and has resolved the Wunderground.com issue for those that reported this issue.
